In the world of Shou Puerh, this one is unique!
Known as "Gong Ting," or Emperor's Court, it is made with the golden tips/buds of the Yunnan tea tree instead of the leaves. It is a style of puerh that was considered worthy to be served to the emperor and his court, hence the name.
This particular tea was harvested from trees between 100-300 years old on Mt. Ailao in Yunnan. It has a deep, earthy sweetness and is great for brewing over and over again. It has been aging since 2014, and is delicious!
We recommend brewing this tea gongfu style in a nice clay teapot. It is very patient and will give you many delicious cups of tea.
