Like the solstice itself, this tea is a rare and special treat! The leaves for this tea are wild foraged from ancient tea trees between 100-800 years old in the Mt. Ailao National Forest Preserve in China.
The buds and leaves are then processed using an ancient and rare practice . . sun roasting and oxidation without the use of any other heat sources such as woks or fires.
This process brings in the sweet flavors of a traditional black tea, while at the same time offering a variety of textures and tones usually found in sheng puerh. This tea is also great for aging, just like puerh!
Treat yourself to this rare and unique tea experience!
