This is one of the rarest and most unique teas that we carry here at The Retreat!
The leaves for this tea were harvested from ancient wild tea trees in Yunnan, China. They were simply withered and sun dried, much like a white tea, even though they are leaves that are usually made into Puerh. That's not even the cool part. What makes this tea so unique is that the flowers of those very tea trees were also harvested, lightly steamed, and then dried in the sun as well. Finally the leaves and flowers were pressed together into these beautiful 250 Gram tea cakes.
A very limited amount of these teas were made, and we were only able to secure a handful. Great for drinking now or aging, this tea brews well in any style you like.
We are only offering entire cakes for sale of this tea, as we don't have enough to break it up for samples.
